Hello all,

Long time L2 player returning to the world after many years break.

I am trying to understand the nuanced differences between all the forked Interlude projects out there.

1) What is the general community consensus (if any) - What are people playing? old-school IL or newer classic IL? Why?

2) Can anyone explain the difference between Vanganth 2018, Vanganth C4 Ext, Gracia Final Core downgrade, and Classic IL? (any others?)
- What are the major changes/fixes/stability things to consider BESIDES visuals/UI.


Really appreciate the insights, kinda confusing hopping back in.

1.

• Well on current moment everyone try fixed new chronicles, but default not all works and 70% servers just pvp.
• Other servers 20% try stay with high five chronicles and only up support client to god chronicles.
• Other 10% try add too much new content with skins but base server garbage cause again not all working.
• Yes all possible but not all want spend time, so servers not alive longer then 1 month maybe.

2.

• Vanganth 2018 just c4 only with fixes and support interlude client, yes there works fine but need spend alot time fix bugs.
• Vanganth c4 ext just mod on official server and yes for now all works fine default.
• Gracia Final good server and there downgrade cause stable core, for example you can stay Gracia client but with interlude content well and there have working item mall.
• Classic Interlude there just Vanganth IL but up packets for support classic client.
• Bug fixes and other need for everyone free pts cause c4 have skill and he can crash server for example.

So what need do to open server, you can start with java Brawery source, for pts need programmers who can fix all bugs and add more features to extender.
Yes default pts works perfect but players want custom stuff these days.
And paid clans or too much money on adverts.

For me I leave current arena with servers cause not have too much time 24/7 or 8 hours try launch again success project. Yes will be nice open project but longer then 1 month.

Anyway good luck with future projects.

In GF u have any mechanics, which works another, and i think, u must to make crutch to downgrade GF to C4 \ IL. But in Vanganth u have dup

I definitely don't want dupe. I would need to figure out the method of the bug and fix it. But I don't know the exploit mechanism.

I have old files from 4+ years ago someone gave me, but I don't know which type they are. Is there a way to identify them easily?

Also is Classic IL just a client side reskin? or do we have Classic PTS OFF files??? TY

Yes, have share off files main and classic version 162-286 protocol version. This need more work
